Found in MRELEASE-953 that the only problem is the lack of -SNAPSHOT in the
developmentVersion !
mvn --batch-mode release:prepare-with-pom -DreleaseVersion=9.0.21
-DdevelopmentVersion=9.0.30-SNAPSHOT
works !
Totally unrelated to --bach-mode then :)
