Robert Scholte commented on MNG-3507:
-------------------------------------

[~alexander.klimetschek] Maven supports colors since 3.5.0 and should work out
of the box. MNG-6296 is only when you explicitly want to turn in on or off in
constrast to Mavens automatic decision. e.g. Running in batchmode turns the
colors off. With MNG-6296 you can turn it on again.
If you don't have colors with 3.5.0 or 3.5.2, please share your OS and how you
execute Maven( e.g. command prompt, power shell, wingm)

> Is it possible for Maven to use ANSI color logging? IMO it would make Maven
> logs much easier to read and increase the visibility of items that the user
> want to see at any given point in time.
> I think Andrew Williams did some work under Plexus sandbox to enable color
> logging. There also a color logger available in Ant.
