a few weeks ago, I revived the sources of siteskinner-maven-plugin from old
Codehaus svn to GitHub, which is the only case I know of that uses this field:

this field can be useful, just need to finish to put a clear semantic on every
date that is used in Doxia (and there are many which are not clear, like last
edit date vs creation date in the header)
