Right now a module its corresponding dependency must always be provided.
But sometimes you want to change the content of an EAR using a Maven profile to
include more or less modules.
It would be handy if you could add
<optional>true</optional>
to a module. If set to true, the maven-ear-plugin will not error in case the
corresponding dependency has not been declared.
