This is a pretty big issue.
Would also like to see the plugin support parent pom configurations things like:
<site>
<id>project-sites</id>
<url>protocol://server/projects/${groupid}/${artifactId}</url>
</site>
Would make things a lot easier, simpler, and consistent.
