We are experiencing similar problems with {{asciidoctor-maven-plugin,}} an any
version above 2.19 (inclusive) makes the tests hang.
We are using the plugin as-is, with no fork or additional options
[https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoctor-maven-plugin/blob/master/pom.xml#L343.]
Tests eventually run, but they hang and take hours when normally they take a
few minutes. Running with \{{-X}} doesn't show anything other than a big pause
before every test.
