Resolution: Won't Fix
I am closing this as won't fix for two reasons:
1. With the upcoming Maven Archiver version you can reduce the {{MANIFEST.MF}}
to a minimum
2. A valid JAR *must* contain a mainfest file as the first ZIP entry and a
{{Manifest-Version: 1.0}} entry
