Currently the code in getDefaultJavadocApiLink does only look for the compiler
plugin configuration in the pom. Most people nowadays use the
maven.compiler.source property to configure the source level. For this reason
the Javadoc plugin should also that setting when auto detecting the default
javadoc api link.
