The jar archive is created with a FileSet
[here|https://github.com/apache/maven-jar-plugin/blob/80f58a84aacff6e671f5a601d62a3a3800b507dc/src/main/java/org/apache/maven/plugins/jar/AbstractJarMojo.java#L211-L217],
which inherits from SetBase. [SetBase has default
excludes|https://maven.apache.org/shared/file-management/apidocs/org/apache/maven/shared/model/fileset/SetBase.html#setUseDefaultExcludes(boolean)].
The maven-resource-plugin allows users to [turn off those default excludes in
the
configuration|https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-resources-plugin/copy-resources-mojo.html#addDefaultExcludes]
of the execution. It would be nice if the maven-jar-plugin did so too.
