surprisingly, upgrading dependency by overriding dependency in your pom.xml
using older maven-site-plugin does not work: I don't know why
but if you try maven-site-plugin 3.9.0-SNAPSHOT, you'll see that it works
(there is even an IT in this release that checks the output)
