If you try to set the 'markersDirectory' with any value it fails with an
exception
[https://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-dependency-plugin/unpack-mojo.html#markersDirectory]
here an example with the default value:

<artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <executions> <execution>
<id>unpackServerHome</id> <phase>validate</phase> <goals> <goal>unpack</goal>

<artifactId>test</artifactId> <version>1.0</version> <type>zip</type>
<markersDirectory>${project.build.directory}/dependency-maven-plugin-markers</markersDirectory>
<outputDirectory>${project.basedir}/../../buildServerHome</outputDirectory>
</artifactItem> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin>
Exception that is thrown:
