I'm not quite sure where the problem stems from but I agree of course that the
specification and documentation has to be unambiguous in the first place.
However, and in any case, this is still a regression.
{{[https://sf.net/subscribe]}} *is* a valid URI with a proper scheme, appending
{{mailto}}: here is simply a bug.
