It is a bit of a big patch, but it does solely address this issue. The main
bulk comes from the resources used to test the release pom generation. The
generate- and remove-release-poms phases have been implemented and the other
phases only adjusted where necessary to cope with release-poms being present.
I could try to break it up but the patch wouldn't be atomic. I'm happy to chat
over the changes on IRC if that's easier?
