Checked out shell script should be made executable prior to execution

I had the issue with cvs, I do not know if it also happens with other SCM.
I created my shell script, chmoded it 755 under Unix, and added it to my cvs
repository.
When I checkout the script from somewhere else, it has the right mode, however,
when continuum checks it out, it is not executable, triggering a build failure.
