I created 3.x branch in plexus-xml:
https://github.com/codehaus-plexus/plexus-xml/tree/3.x
it contains code purely extracted from plexus-utils 3, without the update to
use new Maven 4 XML implementation
IMHO, we should probably release such plexus-xml 3.0.0 and tell users to use
this release when they need plexus-xml, instead of plexus-xml 4 that is Maven 4
specific (until we clarify a new strategy)
