Herve Boutemy commented on DOXIA-734:
-------------------------------------

{quote}Herve Boutemy, I do remember that you told me that there is no effort in
keeping FML, and there is basically none. Now you think it is time to remove?
If so, we should deprecate in this milestone and drop in the next one.{quote}

Yes, I confirm what I told: I'm just ok to drop if some people want to drop
something, I don't want to fight on every tiny front, and FML looks like a tiny
front
on FML, I'll follow what you decide: very small impact on users, very small
impact on maintenance, just choose

The xdoc discussion is much more important: I need more time to review your
discussions, because now I understand it is more about xdoc 2 vs xdoc 3, not
really about fully dropping xdoc
I don't have serious time to read for now, but I hope I'll do this WE
xdoc is a serious front where we need to measure the impacts of any choice we
do: yes, maybe we'll have hard choice to do

> Currently only {{<a id=...>}} is translated into a proper
> {{Sink.anchor(...)}} call.
> The obsolete {{<a name=...>}} is currently not calling an according
> {{Sink.anchor(...)}} method but may be still used in ancient markups which
> derive from the XHtml5BaseParser.
> For example XDoc and FML both stem from the time where
> https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/ was the most recent XHTML spec and therefore
> support {{a name}} (according to
