My opinion is that the push is important, it should be done. But it should only be done for the current branch. I think the preferred behaviour should be to issue the following: git push origin \<currentbranch> That should be a simple fix and should handle most of the problems people experience. And I would be quite unhappy with a 'wontfix' classification, because it is a real problem that does occur fairly regularly if you use git and the release plugin. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
