IMHO and AFAIK, that file (`m2e-lastUpdated.properties` to be specific) is not handled by Resolver. Resolver handles via `DefaultTrackingFileManager` class only two type of files: * the `_remote.repositories`, and * the `$artifactName.lastUpdated` -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
