I have not really investigated yet, but I suspect that it may be related to https://github.com/apache/maven/pull/11380. Would it be possible for you to test the following? * Checkout the master branch of https://github.com/apache/maven * Apply the https://github.com/apache/maven/pull/11380 pull request. * Run `mvn install`. * Unzip `apache-maven/target/apache-maven-4.1.0-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip` somewhere. * Test your application again with the same Maven compiler plugin (no change on the plugin side). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
