Closing due to prolonged inactivity. This PR was opened over 8 years ago and the codebase has undergone significant structural changes since then — the files it modifies have been moved, refactored, or extracted into new classes, making this unmergeable. The concept of tracking dependency management provenance remains valuable. If the feature is still desired, a fresh issue and implementation against the current 2.x architecture would be the way forward.
