The `update-lifecycle-plugins` workflow was missing `-DallowMajorUpdates=false`, causing `versions:update-properties` to propose major version bumps (e.g. 3.x → 4.x betas) for lifecycle plugins. This resulted in PR #13185 proposing 4.x versions for clean, compiler, deploy, install, jar, plugin, resources, and site plugins, which was not intended. Adding `-DallowMajorUpdates=false` restricts the update to minor/patch releases only, keeping lifecycle plugins on their current major version. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
