Heads-up: as part of apache/maven-sources#57, maven-filtering is slated to be the first repo to have its default branch switched from the Maven 4 line back to Maven 3. Mechanically `master` (Maven 4) is renamed to `maven-filtering-4.x`, and `maven-filtering-3.x` becomes `master`. GitHub retargets open PRs automatically on the rename, so this PR's base will move from `master` to `maven-filtering-4.x` (where the Maven 4 code it targets now lives) — nothing needed from you, just flagging so the base change isn't a surprise.
