[MNG-7927](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-7927) introduced distinct semantics for empty vs self-closing plugin configuration tags in Maven 4.1.0. This PR documents those semantics in the guide-configuring-plugins page. **What changed in Maven 4.1.0:** - `<param></param>` (explicit empty tag) now overrides a mojo's pre-initialized Java default with an empty string - `<param/>` (self-closing tag) leaves the mojo's Java-initialized default unchanged This is a user-visible behaviour change for `String`/`CharSequence`/`StringBuilder`/`StringBuffer` fields, and the guide had no mention of it at all.
