Fixes a regression from #341. Maven 3.9 and 3.10 do not know the optional-profile prefix: they read `-P "?run-its"` as a profile named `?run-its`, warn that it does not exist, and build without `run-its`. Since #341, every Maven 3 build on the default goals (the fail-fast build and the Maven 3 matrix cells, including JDK 8) has skipped the integration tests of projects whose `run-its` profile is not otherwise activated, and still reported green. Maven 4 is unaffected. The two build steps now take the goal and the Maven version from the environment and, for Maven 3, drop the `?` before running; `eval` keeps the shell quoting the goals had when they were expanded inline. Verified: `-P ?run-its` against a POM with a `run-its` profile → active on 4.0.0-rc-7, not active on 3.9.16 and 3.10.0; the rewritten goal parses to `-P run-its verify` on 3.10.0 and stays `-P ?run-its verify` on 4.0.0-rc-7, with quoted `maven-args` unchanged. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
