Lists and resolves the parent POM chain of each resolved plugin and plugin dependency, as `includeParents` already does for `dependency:resolve`. Off by default. Parent POMs are read with minimal validation: `commons-digester:1.8`, pulled in by a default-lifecycle plugin, fails strict validation and would otherwise abort the goal.
