This PR was merged, and now is reverted https://github.com/apache/maven-resolver/commit/7ab6dbb38fa3fa0fc72d3f08364a12859a5437ff The PR caused _massive slowdown_, approximately doubling build times. And I am personally back to my original stance: Maven should not "figure out" anything when it comes to broken remote repositories, instead, those using it should pressure vendors to fix them (or use just use some other software instead of the broken one). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
