Tried to reproduce this on current Maven (3.9.16) with a 3-module setup matching the report (root, a shared build-tools module, and a consumer with two profiles each binding a plugin that depends on build-tools), building with -Pp1, -Pp2 and -Pp1,p2 together — none of them fail with a cyclic reference. ProjectSorter.addEdge() now adds plugin/plugin-dependency edges with safe=true, so a CycleDetectedException on those edges no longer fails the build. Looks already resolved. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service. To respond to the message, please log on to GitHub and use the URL above to go to the specific comment.
