olamy opened a new pull request, #568: URL: https://github.com/apache/maven-build-cache-extension/pull/568
Adds `TestCompileGoalAfterTestChangeTest`, a single-goal IT using the default cache config: 1. `mvn compile` 2. edit a test that uses a main class 3. `mvn compiler:testCompile` on its own The test edit makes the cache miss, and nothing in the second run recompiles the main classes, so the test compile relies on the `target/classes` left by the first run. The IT checks that the build passes and that `target/classes` is still there afterwards. It passes on master. It fails on #493 as it stands: that PR moves `target/classes` aside on every cache miss, so the test compile fails with `cannot find symbol`, and the classes are deleted rather than put back after the build. --- To make clear that you license your contribution under the [Apache License Version 2.0, January 2004](https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0) check one of the following: - [x] I hereby declare this contribution to be licensed under the [Apache License Version 2.0, January 2004](https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0) - [ ] I hereby declare that I have filed an [Apache Individual Contributor License Agreement](https://www.apache.org/licenses/icla.pdf). 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
