## Summary Fixes #3566. Since Surefire 3.6.0, projects containing plain Java test classes (POJO tests) can complete successfully without executing those tests or displaying a warning. This change: - Adds a warning when matching test classes are discovered but no test provider is available. - Explains that POJO tests are no longer supported and recommends adding JUnit or TestNG. - Adds an integration regression test using a POJO-only project without a test framework dependency. ## Testing **Regression test (before fix):** - Confirmed the test failed because the expected warning was missing. **Regression test (after fix):** - Passed: 1 integration test, 0 failures, 0 errors. - Maven reactor: 15 modules successful. Command: ```powershell mvn.cmd -B -pl surefire-its -am -P run-its "-Dit.test=PojoWithoutProviderIT" verify ``` **Additional checks:** - Git whitespace validation passed. - Working tree clean after commit. - Full integration-test suite was not run. ## Contribution Declaration - [x] I hereby declare this contribution to be licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. - [ ] I have filed an Apache Individual Contributor License Agreement, if applicable. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
