The readers Modello generates do not check the namespace version, so a `site.xml` or `skin.xml` written for a newer model (for example `http://maven.apache.org/SITE/2.2.0` read by a sitetools that knows 2.1.0) fails with errors about unknown elements. Sitetools now logs a warning naming the declared and the supported model version before it reads either descriptor. Older namespaces are not reported, since a newer reader understands them. The check lives in a small `ModelNamespace` helper in `doxia-site-model`, used by `DefaultSiteTool` and `DefaultSiteRenderer`. Its tests pin `SITE_MODEL_VERSION` and `SKIN_MODEL_VERSION` to the versions in the Modello configuration, so a model bump that forgets them fails the build. codehaus-plexus/modello#557 would solve this in the generated readers themselves.
