### Affected version master (d9746769), 4.0.0-rc-7 ### Bug description `MojoExtension.openPomUrl` treats the `pom` value as inline XML only when it contains `<project>` ([`MojoExtension.java:632`](https://github.com/apache/maven/blob/master/impl/maven-testing/src/main/java/org/apache/maven/testing/plugin/MojoExtension.java#L632)). An inline POM with attributes on the root element, such as `<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0";>`, falls through to the file branch: ``` java.nio.file.NoSuchFileException: .../impl/maven-testing/<project xmlns="http:/maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"><groupId>customGroupId</groupId>...</project> ``` -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
