Let me add a little bit of compication to this issue. There are cases when users have many systems to authenticate in. In such cases forward proxies sometimes require authentication for SSO using Kerberos, Oidc or Saml. Nexus also have such authentication methods. Oidc was added last year for example. And when both forward proxy and Nexus (through reverse proxy) require Kerberos authentication then Kerberos Conundrum also adds complexity. I think this complicated issue with access to repository with artefacts can be addressed using requirements in Asciidoc format first, then making these requirements executable with acceptance tests using Testcontainers with Docker images of Squid, Nexus and Apache Kerby in Github actions or Testcontainers Cloud. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
