I tried to help the xml team do this and spent a couple hours on con-calls with
Brian and such. It pretty much resulted in nothing happening. Brian
apparently lost his signing key and thus doesn't have the "ability" to sign
them. He didn't quite understand what was being requested either.
PLUS the 2.7.1 "everything" jar in the 2.7.1 xalan binary distribution is
missing some classes and thus doesn't actually work. The entire
org.apache.xml.serializer package seems to be missing from the jar. When I
discovered that, I stopped chasing them.
