Provide Access to Undocumented Jarsigner -J Option for Increasing Heap
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MJAR-115
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MJAR-115
Project: Maven 2.x Jar Plugin
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: sign
Affects Versions: 2.2
Environment: Mac 10.5.6, Windows XP SP3, Maven 2.0.9, Jar Plugin 2.2
Reporter: Matthew McCullough
Priority: Minor
Attachments: 0001-Adding-maximum-memory-option-to-jar-signing.patch
I am signing very large JARs. I don't have the option (legally) of splitting
the JAR into smaller pieces. One of them specifically is wl_fullclient.jar,
the 64MB WebLogic JEE client JAR.
I have found an undocumented option "-J-Xmx" to jarsigner that has accomplished
what I need on Windows and Mac. It is used in the Ant equivalent jar signing
task.
The Ant Source can be viewed here on line 286
