Jim Sellers commented on MECLIPSE-178:
--------------------------------------
The plugin *does* write links, but it looks like it only does it on specific
conditions. I just took a quick peek and it seems to be in
org.apache.maven.plugin.eclipse.writers.EclipseProjectWriter. Not sure if you
can force it to do so with config.
Good luck!
> symbolic links need to able to be specified in the pom

> In eclipse, you can make a symbolic link to a file.
> create new file -> advanced -> "link to file in the system".
> This will create a part in the .project file like this:
> <linkedResources>
> <link>
> <name>src/test/resources/oracle-ds.xml</name>
> <type>1</type>
>
> <location>C://jboss/server/default/deploy/oracle-ds.xml</location>
> </link>
> </linkedResources>
> When you run "mvn eclipse:eclipse" this gets wipped out. It would be great
> if this soft link didn't have to be re-created someone runs the command.
