David Boden commented on MDEP-244:
----------------------------------
Brian, apologies for posting an issue in Jira far too quickly. -f works for
what I need, specifically I'm using the dependency plugin to deploy
dependencies of my projects into my development and staging environments.
Many thanks for your quick reply and solution.
> Maven 2 Dependency plugin should support the -DpomFile attribute so that it
> can support other filenames than pom.xml like the main plugins can

> Components: copy-dependencies

> To use copy-dependencies, the pom file currently has to be called pom.xml.
> The main plugins like install and deploy support a "pomFile" parameter so
> that you can specify the pom file on the command line. It would be good if
> the Dependency plugin goals did the same.
