Switching to commons-compress would allow shade to be applied to a variety of
output formats. Given the ability to declare a structure (as suggested in this
issue) this would make shade a powerful tool for application assembly.
I would therefore favour a more general approach to the problem of structure,
perhaps with convenience shortcuts for common formats. Not sure about the best
way to describe it, though.
