The issue is basically that ASL 2.0 point 4[1] requires license text to be
distributed together with sources/binaries that are under ASL 2.0. Any clone of
the repository or any source tarball that doesn't contain license text is
therefore in violation of ASL 2.0.
EDIT: Just to be clear, the licensing problem doesn't affect you as primary
developers/distributors as much as mirrors/redistributors.
