Marco Vermeulen commented on MNG-5749:
--------------------------------------

Hi all, I am Marco, the guy behind GVM. Unfortunately I won't be supporting
Maven on GVM, as like I said elsewhere it's not a tool that is widely used by
the Groovy community. If that every changes, I would be more than happy to
include it. @Sean, I recommended you simply use brew to install maven for now.
As far as I'm concerned, this jira can be closed.

> Installing and managing Maven versions could be made much easier with GVM.
> GVM works great for managing Groovy, Grails, and Gradle versions. As far as I
> know there is no technical reason it couldn't install and manage Maven as
> well.
> The GVM developers have no plans to add support for 'maven', but they may
> accept a contribution. In the meantime I'm using Homebrew on Mac OS X, but
> GVM would be much nicer.
