In the review description you state this was tested on OSX; did you test the
performance on Linux? I'd like to double check that we see the same cpu
utilization on a relatively recent Linux kernel. I might have missed it, but
could you also attach the code you used for the benchmark? I'd like to run it
as well.
Is there any more efficient way of implementing os::exists(), even if it's
platform specific?
