Expanding Mesos past Zookeeper is an interest of mine and I'd be down for
contributing to this. My own goal is to enable Consul rather than etcd, but it
seems like there should be a ton of overlap and reusable code for this.
If somebody from the Mesos team can provide some guidance and help, I would be
more than willing to help with making this happen. (My C++'s a bit rusty, but,
hey. Always a good time to brush up on it.)
