I believe we can commit since it's had a full deprecation cycle. Vinod 
commented as much on the review board: "Cody, thanks for your patience. Since 
0.21.0 has been released with a deprecation warning, we can commit this now. 
Mind rebasing it?" [1]

I've rebased it since then, just waiting for commit I think.
