[~anandmazumdar] and [~vinodkone]: in [~fan.du]'s patch, he makes use of the
existing metrics for reserve/unreserve/create/destroy operations. [~bmahler]
suggested in a comment that instead of this, we add new metrics for events in
the new HTTP API. What are your thoughts on this?
