Yes, I can do that now. I filed this when I started the investigation and it
became clear that it would take at least a couple hours to give more details.
One of the problems was that we weren't propagating errors after we tried to
kill a process group (see review at [1]), which led to very strange behavior
and hanging tests, which meant I really had to dig in to get to the root cause.
