[~tillt], is `–http1.1` flag in cli curl launch needed for the download as well?
also curl is dynamically linked, isn't it?
if so, then what's about `curl_easy_setopt(CURL *handle, CURLOPT_HTTP_VERSION,
long version)` being used as well...
