Chun-Hung Hsiao edited comment on MESOS-9508 at 1/4/19 12:35 AM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

It seems that file {{3rdparty/grpc-1.10.0.patch}} is missing in the tarball.
I'll fix it in 1.7.1.

[~makkesham] thanks for reporting this. if you'd like to try out 1.7.0, please
download it from the git repo:
{noformat}
$ git clone https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf/mesos.git -b 1.7.0
mesos-1.7.0{noformat}
You might also choose to use {{https://github.com/apache/mesos.git}} instead if
you prefer GitHub. This will create a new {{mesos-1.7.0}} folder that contains
the 1.7.0 source code. Then you should be able to follow the build guide to
compile Mesos.

Alternatively, if you don't have access to the Apache Git repo or GitHub, you
can compile the tarball with openssl and libevent installed and adding the
following configuration options:
{noformat}
$ sudo apt-get install -y libssl-dev libevent-dev
$ ../configure --enable-ssl --enable-libevent{noformat}
