nickwallen opened a new pull request #1371: METRON-2056 Support LDAP Bind Authentication URL: https://github.com/apache/metron/pull/1371 The current LDAP support provided in Metron uses an attribute containing a SHA-encoded password to perform a remote password compare to authenticate users. We should support bind authentication which is commonly used in an LDAP ## Changes There is a field in Ambari that is used to define the name of the attribute that contains the SHA-encoded password to perform a remote password compare for user authentication. If the user wants to perform bind authentication, they should leave this field blank in Ambari. ## Testing I tested this against an Active Directory server over both HTTP and HTTPS. I need bind authentication to authenticate against Active Directory in these scenarios. ## Pull Request Checklist - [ ] Is there a JIRA ticket associated with this PR?
