Ryan Merriman commented on METRON-2064:
---------------------------------------

I don't believe this is a bug in code because those 2 properties are managed by
Ambari (REST tab).  If you change them outside of Ambari with either the CLI or
REST, Ambari will overwrite them whenever a Metron component is restarted.  It
is however a documentation bug in the Solr README.

> We added the capability for Ambari to modify global config properties without
> overwriting non-conflicting externally-provided properties in this PR -
> [https://github.com/apache/metron/pull/760]. The REST API is currently
> overwriting the global config when it's restarted, thus losing user changes.
