I think the easy (read initial) path is to add a new role with a task as a
local_action with run_once. That will build the project from the Ansible host.
I think #3 is outside of the scope of this JIRA, but valuable and expected with
future releases. I'd recommend against automating the git pull, my sense is
that people want to build what they've pulled in/modified. I know I do.
I'd also make sure it's a new role with a unique tag, that way it's
easily-skippable.
