I've got some preliminary work on this at
https://github.com/atopian/incubator-metron/tree/elastic_shield
I've been able to successfully hook the indexBolt to a SSL encrypted password
protected ES 2.x instance with this branch. Still need to do some regressions
to make sure it does not break anything.
